Grandvue Medical Care Facility is seeking an experienced and dedicated Cook to join our Dining Services Department. This essential role supports daily food service operations, ensuring high-quality, nutritious meals are prepared and served to our residents in a safe and timely manner. As a Cook at Grandvue, you will contribute to creating a positive dining experience while upholding the standards of excellence our residents deserve.
In this position, you will be responsible for preparing large-volume meals, maintaining safety and sanitation standards, operating kitchen equipment, and supporting dietary staff during meal production. You will play a key role in promoting teamwork, consistency, and exceptional service within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals in accordance with facility menus and dietary guidelines.
- Operate a variety of kitchen equipment, including mixers, meat slicers, food processors, ovens, steamers, blenders, and fryers.
- Ensure food safety and infection control standards are followed during preparation, serving, and storage.
- Work efficiently to meet meal deadlines and oversee meal production flow.
- Assist in directing dietary staff to ensure consistent and timely food service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and staff across all departments.
Qualifications:
- Previous cooking experience required; experience in long-term care preferred.
- Ability to work at a steady pace and manage large-quantity meal preparation.
- ServSafe certification preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to meet the needs of residents and the department.
- Demonstrated commitment to proper food handling and infection control standards.

Admissions Coordinator Nurse (RN or LPN)

Join our team as an Admissions Coordinator Nurse, where you’ll play a vital role in guiding referrals through the full admission cycle and creating a smooth, welcoming transition for new residents and their families.
In this collaborative and impactful role, you will:
- Manage and coordinate referrals from initial clinical review through admission, ensuring timely and clinically appropriate placement
- Maintain an accurate waiting list and referral status tracking
- Conduct clinical evaluation of referrals, including:

- Medication analysis for availability and nursing clinical capabilities
- Provider order transcription and EHR data entry

- Serve as a liaison between hospitals, families, providers, referral partners, and internal interdisciplinary teams
- Provide facility tours and education to prospective residents and their representatives
- Coordinate admission day processes across Social Services, Business Office, and Nursing for a seamless and person-centered experience
- Process hospital bed holds and re-admissions
- Partner with the Business Office to support occupancy and facility goals
- Identify barriers to admission and recommend solutions to nursing and social service leadership
- Support the development and improvement of admissions procedures, reports, and policies
- Maintain regular, on-site, punctual attendance
You’re a great fit if you bring:
- An active, unencumbered nursing license in Michigan (RN or LPN)
- Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or care transitions (preferred)
- Strong communication, organization, and critical thinking skills
- Understanding of insurance, billing, and coverage types related to admissions

Grandvue Medical Care Facility is seeking an experienced RN Assistant Director of Nursing with a focus on Skin and Wound Care. This key leadership role involves overseeing nursing operations, ensuring high standards of care for residents, and managing skin and wound care.
As the Assistant Director of Nursing, you’ll support the Director of Nursing in daily operations, supervise nursing staff, and advocate for resident care
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise nursing staff and support quality care practices for residents.
- Coordinate Skin & Wound Care.
- Collaborate with leadership on quality assurance and performance improvement projects.
- Mentor and evaluate staff, addressing performance concerns as needed.
- Assist in policy review and compliance, ensuring adherence to regulations.
- Participate in survey readiness as well as the annual, complaint, SLCS, and other state and federal surveys.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
- Experience in clinical nursing and supervisory roles.

Relief CNA Transporter
Grandvue Medical Care Facility (GMCF) in East Jordan is seeking a Relief CNA Transporter to join our team. In this role, you will assist the regularly scheduled CNA transporter by accompanying and transporting residents to and from medical appointments, ensuring their comfort and addressing their physical needs during transit. You will also prepare and coordinate necessary paperwork, share documentation with Grandvue staff, and input information into our EMR system. As a representative of Grandvue, you will promote a positive public image while also assisting with van cleaning and upkeep, providing support in neighborhoods, and arranging for the replacement, labeling, or repair of eyeglasses, dentures, and hearing aids.
