Grandvue Terrace & Recreation Park
The Grandvue Terrace and Recreation Park began as a dream—the dream of an outdoor area that stimulates the senses, maximizes optimal healthy living, embraces fellowship and gives Residents a sense of purpose and a reason to get up in the morning.
The Grandvue family of supporters demonstrated tremendous commitment to ensure the dream of the Terrace and Recreation Park could become a reality. This community project saw individuals, foundations, businesses and service organizations contributing funding, time and materials to its success. The Terrace and Recreation Park is scheduled for construction in 2019.
Features of the area include:
- Walking paths with sitting areas and memorial benches
- Family picnic pavilion with restroom
- Accessible garden plots with pathways
- Raised planter beds
- Rain garden with bridge
- Horseshoe pit
In the summer of 2022, Grandvue received a special gift for the park: a sculpture titled “Out of Nowhere” by artist Jim Wolnosky was donated by the Solgot family of East Jordan in honor of Karen and Warren Solgot.
