Certified Nurse Aides

Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs) work closely with our neighborhood nurses to provide hands-on assistance with Residents’ activities of daily living. If you’re looking for a career that offers variety in your workday, opportunities to build relationships, and the ability to change the lives of those around you, becoming a CNA may be the path for you. Becoming a CNA can be a great start to your nursing career, and obtaining a new degree such as LPN or RN may be easier with the help of the hands-on experience gained from your CNA work.

Want to become a CNA at Grandvue and get paid to “earn as you learn?” Grandvue’s Temporary Resident Assistants help with non-clinical tasks prior to taking nurse aide certification training. They are paid to attend classes and get a pay raise after finishing the course and another increase after passing their certification exams.

Neighborhood Assistants have completed the state of Michigan mandated dining assistance training curriculum and are able to provide support, companionship, encouragement and assistance for Residents during meals. At other times, Neighborhood Assistants assist with hydration needs, transport Residents to activities and build relationships with the Residents in their neighborhoods.

Grandvue CNA Training

Grandvue CNA Training is a proprietary school that provides state of Michigan approved training necessary to become a Certified Nurse Aide. Students who successfully complete the training are eligible to take the clinical and written tests necessary for certification.

Grandvue offers nurse aide training for a minimal fee to keep training accessible to as many potential care partners as possible. A schedule of class and registration dates, policies and requirements are included in the Grandvue CNA Training Catalog. In accordance with state law, students who are subsequently hired by Grandvue or another facility that receives federal funding may be reimbursed for training and testing expenses.
